We needed reasonable price close to airport with shuttle service. It is gorgeous! We hope you will give us a second chance so that we can show you the Brilliant Service we normally provide. We just today finished an renovation of our fitness center with new flooring, walls, ceiling, and brand new, state of the art, equipment. We are working on many projects this year to upgrade many of areas in the hotel, including guest rooms, T-Bone Charlie's, and the lobby gift shop. We do get our food stuffs from the best providers in the area and our meat products come from Kansas City's premier provider of meats. As for the pricing of our breakfast some guests do experience a bit of 'sticker shock,' but please know that we constantly compare ourselves to our nearest competitors to ensure that our pricing is comparable. We are sorry, though, that there were aspects of your experience that you did not enjoy.Your husband's experience with the room temperature is very frustrating because we just had brand new thermostats placed in all of the guest rooms, but it seems that room still needs some tweaking. Nothing really bad but certainly nothing special. Why not charge extra for water and lighting while you're at it? Anyway, I won't be rushing back here. Criminal in this day and age and an abuse by Marriott. Bathroom was cramped and dated with a shower over the bath (supposedly an exec room). Room was very bland and a typical US basic Marriott experience. Definitely gives the feeling that, since the hotel is the place people tend to stay by default if needing to be near the airport (and with little else in the local area) then average and unimaginative is good enough. Outside of breakfast, the main restaurant really is ordinary at best. and talkative, especially in the restaurant, seeming not to notice if they are interrupting your conversation/meeting. and the entire experience lives up to those initial expectations. Things don't look great from arrival outside onwards this characterless (1970s?) concrete building won't be winning any awards.
